Lilanath Shrestha was CPN-UML candidate from Siraha, election area number 5. He has defeated by UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Nepal Constituent Assembly election 2013, held on 19th November. Latest news of Prachanda is Mr. Shrestha filed a complaint report alleging that Puspa Kamal Dahal Prachanda won from Siraha-5 through booth capture and vote rigging. In his complaint, the UML candidate Lilanath Shrestha has submitted the reports from election observers, media news reports and the statistics of vote counting.

Mr. Shrestha claimed that six polling booths from two VDCs were captured, and that the public were barred from casting vote s independently.
