Kamal Thapa: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPPN)
Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPPN) Kamal Thapa said on 21 October 2013 on Biratnagar, Nepal, “1.08 million Hindus all over the world want to see Nepal as a Hindu nation.”
He added that his party (RPPN) would launch Rastriya Ekta Yatra (mean: national unity journey) beginning October 21, 2013 to create a wave in favour of his party to make Nepal a Hindu country.
“The yatra (journey) will aim to protect national sovereignty and seek people’s support for the RPPN to make it a strong alternative force,” Thapa said. According to the RPP-N, the journey will begin from Gorkha and reach 23 different districts before arriving in the Capital city on October 31. Thapa claimed that the major political parties were to blame for the political instability in the last seven years and that their failure had caused despair among the general public. Thapa said that RPP-N would emerge as a strong alternative political force from the upcoming Constituent Assembly election.
