 Trishuli River Rafting Itinerary:

Day 01: At 6.30 am, meet our office, store additional luggage in our store,. if you are heading to Pokhara, Chit wan, trekking to Annapurna or other destination after rafting, take with you all yours gears, rest leave at our store, then couple of hrs drive to Starting point of Rafting, CHARAUDI, packing up gears, after safety briefing and being issued Life Jackets and Helmet Rafting commence, about 9 am After couple of hrs rafting lunch will be arranged on the River Bank.

After Lunch, we raft another couple hrs to Kurintar, where we camp at lovely sandy bank of River, Facing on to the four directions beautiful views of nature, hamlet and after Dinner you can enjoy beers in the campfire; staff performs typical Nepalese folk song and folk dances. Today you will hit 2 or 3 rapids called “LADISE DELIGHT” and stop for the lunch. After lunch white water hit a class 2 to 3 rapid called “UPSET” and “SURPRISE

Day 02: After B/F, we pack up gears and personal things, Aprox. 8 am we commence Rafting. Lunch will be provided about 11 to 12 noon, some peoples get off after Lunch, they drive to Pokhara, Chitwan National Park or return to Kathmandu.

Some continue the Rafting couple of hrs to Simaltal, today you will hit a class 2 or 3 rapids “BIJILI RAPID” and “TEA POT”

What you need to tell the Trekking Agency

Please tell them whether you are a swimmer, non-swimmer, or not very confident in the water. It is important to inform them of any medical conditions that may affect your well being on the trip.

Safety
The Trekking Agency Company takes the safety of its clients very seriously. All their guides are licensed, with many years of experience on the rivers of Nepal. All are trained in CPR, First Aid and advanced river rescue techniques.

Passport and Visa:

All tourists to Nepal except the Indian nationals must hold valid passports and visa. Indian nationals don’t need a visa to enter Nepal, but must have proof of identity. All other nationals require a visa, obtainable in advance form Nepalese Embassies or consulates, or upon arrival at the border or at Tribuvan International Airport.

The tourist visa can be obtained from Nepalese Embassy or Consulate abroad. Don’t forget to bring two passport size photos and a payment of visa fees. The process is the same for the ‘gratis’ visas. The visa fees cannot be paid by credit cards. The visa application forms are available in the passport control lounge.

They are also distributed in the aircrafts before landing. Tourists can extend their visa at the Department of Immigration, Tridevi Marg, Kathmandu or at Immigration Office, Pokhara.

Foreign visitors other than the Indian nationals are required to pay their hotel bills and air tickets in foreign currency. However the other payments must always be made in Nepalese currency. You can buy Nepalese currency at foreign currency exchange counter at the Tribhuwan airport, Kathmandu.

Different banks are also opened to serve as the foreign currency exchange counters at different places of Nepal. Foreign currencies must be exchanged only through the banks or authorized foreign exchange dealers. Tourists other than Indian are not allowed to import or export the Indian currency.

The rate of exchange of the foreign currencies is determined by the Central Bank of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank and is announced in the press daily.

Fee exemption of tourist visa:

  • For tourists from China, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and  Pakistan
  • For the tourists, who have already stayed in Nepal for 15 days or more, visiting Nepal for the second time during the same visa year.
  • For tourists staying in Nepal for 3 days (72 hrs) or less.
  • Children below 10 years of age.

Working Hours: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,

Working Days: Monday to Friday.

Local Currency: Nepalese Currency is Nepalese Rupee. A Nepalese Rupee is subdivided into 100 paisa. The denominations of currency notes are available in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1000 Rupees. Similarly, coins are available in 1, 2, 5 and 10 rupees, which are in circulation.

Time: Nepal is 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of GMT and 15 minutes ahead of Indian standard time.
