Tihar festival of Hindu is also known as Deepawali or Diwali. Tihar or Deepavali or Diwali is popularly known as the “festival of lights”. It is celebrated by Hindus for five days. It starts with Kaag Tihar / Kag Puja / Kaag Pooja (worship of crow) and ends with Bhai Tika. Kaag Puja / Kag Tihar / Kag Pooja is a day of Tihar festival in that days crows are respected ans worshiped. On the day of Kaag Puja, the crows are worshiped by offerings of sweets and dishes on the roof of the houses. The cawing of the crows symbolizes sadness and grief in the Hindu mythology, so the devotees offer the crows food to avert grief and deaths in their homes.
