It’s simply an example of the unprecedented elegance and uniqueness of Nepal. Practically all Everest endeavors previously, including the one driven by renowned climber John Hunt, and Edmund Hillary had gone through Jiri, which are known to be perhaps the oldest gate to Mount Everest. For several treks to the Mount Everest area, Jiri is the trailhead. Jiri is engaging and yet unfamiliar. Jiri is considered the perfect and ultimate destination for visitors. Its colossal natural excellence, lavish widely varied flora and fauna, gigantic cascades, cultural heritage, adventure experiences, and scenic grandeur provide tourists with a wonderful sight to invest their time in Jiri. It is proud to scream out that Jiri is the home of the Girls, the ethnic people. Called Jiriba, they enjoy themselves. In the language of Jirel, Zi implies light or burning, Ri implies hill or mountain, and Ba implies humans. Hence, Jiriba implies mountain people. The Jirel citizens came from the second brother of the seven Kirat brothers, regarded as the eldest brother’s soldiers, the king of the Kirats, who later fled to Tibet. The number of Girls is currently less because the other younger brothers were responsible for attacking them as the assailants. That was why they had a fortress at Kirati Chhap, where they constructed a headquarters for their army. Finally, it is said that they came to Jiri and settled without help from anyone else. Any of the facts that they were courageous karats is Kirat Thursa, Kirat Khasa.
