Tihar ( तिहार in the Nepali language) is the 2nd biggest festival in Nepal. After Dashain, Tihar is a major and important festival in Nepal. Tihar is also known as Deepawali in the terai region of Nepal and Deepawali and Bhai Tika in India. Tihar / Deepawali / Bhai Tika is a five-day-long Hindu and Buddhist festival celebrated in Nepal. Tihar comes 20 days after the Dashain festival (from the day of Dashami) of Nepal.
