Madan Puraskar Prize Winner Writer Jagdish Ghimire is no more now

Eminent writer Jagdish Ghimire passed away on Thursday October 2013 morning. He was at the age of 68. According to his family, Ghimire was receiving treatment at Om Hospital for Multiple myeloma, a tumour of the bone marrow for over a month. He was pronounced dead at around 6 am at this morning.

Ghimire had won Madan Puraskar for his biography Antarmanko Yatra अर्न्तर्मनको यात्रा. Sabiti, Bardi and Sakas were other acclaimed novels written by him. He was also the Co-founder of Tamakoshi Seva Samiti, a non profit non governmental organisation working in the rural areas of Ramechhap district for community development, health and education.
