Rekha Thapa is the established talented, bold, and beautiful female star of the Nepali film industry. She was born on 21^st August 1982 in Salakpur of Morang in the Eastern region of Nepal. She is the daughter of Prem Thapa and Saraswati Thapa.

During the shooting of the First debuted movie “Hero”, The director of the movie Chabiraaj Ojha fell for her adorable beauty and proposed to Rekha Thapa. In 2012, they got separated. But in her interview, she said she would find a life partner by 2019.

She had forgotten to register herself on the voter’s list so she couldn’t participate in the election. She distanced herself from the party. With time, Rekha left the Maoist party and joined the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party. She won the election held on February 21^st, 2016, and was selected as a member of the central committee in the female quota with 1,603 votes of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party.

Rekha has loved to dance since her childhood. She particularly likes Nepali cultural dances as well she likes Nepali dresses.

Rekha Thapa has performed a live dance on the stage for the first time on May 14, 2016. The concert was held in Tundikhel, Kathmandu featured two actresses, Sonakshi Sinha and Malaika Arora from Bollywood and Nepal’s top actresses such as Rekha Thapa, Priyanka Karki, Nisha Adhikari, Sushma Karki, Keki Adhikari.

On January 23^rd, 2013, She had gone to the USA. In New York, she announced a press conference, where she announced her purpose in social work. In Remix Dhamaka 5 program, Rekha didn’t go to Malaysia despite her commitments and the organizers accused her of being unprofessional.

Later, she established a Rekha Thapa foundation which is a non-governmental organization to give rise to social work. She adopted four rate children and she kept them in her institution providing the facilities. She used the children for the opportunity of the photo. Later, she ignored them completely and the parents of those children took their kids with them.

The social works and commitments of Rekha had not been so long-lasting. To two rape victims, Pooja Bohora and Pooja Karki she promised to offer them roles but the promise wasn’t fulfilled.
