Students talk to doctors and patients about global epidemics, cures for diseases that can kill, life as a resident, medical specialties, and primary care.

Each program ends with a simulation that asks students to think about a specific public health issue and make suggestions for how to make the public aware of and care about each issue.

The National Youth Leadership Forum is a set of summer programs for high school students that show them different kinds of jobs and help them get ready for college and future jobs.

Envision EMI owns NYLF. This is a for-profit company that also makes and runs programs like Lead America, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, and the National Young Scholars Program. The National Student Leadership Conference is a program that is like NYLF (NSLC). NSLC, like the National Youth Leadership Forum, offers career-focused programs for high school students. How Do You Apply to NYLF?

To apply for an NYLF program, the first step is to be nominated or to nominate yourself.
