Chhath Puja Recipes Dish ThekuaThekua is the most important dish prepared in the Chhath Puja Festival of Hindu Pantheon. It is traditional dish for Chhath Puja. Without Thekua dish in Chhath Puja, Chhath puja is not like Chhath Puja. It may be like incomplete. Chhath Puja festival is also known as Surya Shashti or Chhathi. It is a prominent Hindu festival celebrated in the Southern part of Nepal, namely Mithila, Bhojpura, Tharus, Awadh region and some states of India namely Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Chhath Puja is the four day long celebration festival includes several traditional rituals like holy bathing, fasting and standing for hours in water making offerings to the Sun God.
