Chhath Puja begins with Nuhane Khane (नुहाउने खाने) or Nahai Khai that means Bath & Eat. The second day of Chhath Puja is Kharana that means Bath & Eat. On this day, devotee (Vratalu / Vrati) starts their ritual only with bathing. They should be pure, as it is the festival of clean and purity.
As we know that second day of the Chhath Puja is known as Kharna, on this second day of Kharana, Vratalu (devotees) observed a whole day fast (without water. The devotees (Vratalu / Vrati ) end their fast in the evening after performing puja. Offerings (Prasad) are comprises of Rasiao-kheer (rice delicacy), Puris (deep-fried puffs of wheat flour) or Chapatti and bananas – are distributed among family, friends, and visitors.
