Bollywood Celebrities in Nepali Movies: – Nepali Movie Industry does not have a long history. Even though it has its place in the country and even outside the country. Since Nepal has cultural diversity, geography, and natural beauty Nepal has beautiful shooting locations for moviemakers. These days even Bollywood movies have been shooted in Nepal. Besides this Bollywood stars also have worked in Nepali movies. We often hear Nepali people jump into Bollywood movies. We never care for Bollywood stars coming to Nepali Movies. Some enjoyed working in Nepali movies. This article will help to find out about some Bollywood celebrities who worked in Nepali movies.

1. Rajpal Yadav

Rajpal Yadav was born on March 16, 1971, in the small town of Kundra which is located in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is married to Radha Yadav. He is known profoundly for his comic roles in Hindi Cinemas. He acted in Doordarshan’s television serial Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal as the protagonist. He found success in negative roles even though he preferred comic roles and worked in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. He has worked in dozens of films both as a comedian and as a lead actor. He is also a brand ambassador for With bells.

In Nepal, he worked in the movie Karodpati. This is not the first time he worked with Nepali people since he also worked with Nepali people when he was in Delhi and Mumbai. He says that there are many Nepali people in Bollywood he worked with. He enjoyed a lot working in Nepali Film Industry. He also said that felt like a family working in a Nepali movie in Nepal. She was trained in Indian classical music by her mother. Besides film songs, she sings devotional songs, ghazals, pop, and classical. She has sung in 34 Indian languages for films, television serials, devotionals, and pop music albums. She made her playback debut in the Gujarati film, ‘Kanku Pagli’. She is the only singer from outside of South India to have won an Indian national award for any of the South Indian (Tamil) language songs. Sadhana also has sung for many Nepali films. Among her Nepali songs, ‘daali daali Phool phulyo’, ‘jati Samma Jeevan rahala’, ‘jidagani darpanchaya’, ‘makhamali Maya diula parelima AAI basana’ are famous among us.

3. Sonu Nigam:

Sonu Nigam is a leading Indian playback singer. He is also known as Lord of Chords. He is a musician, composer, singer, actor, and music producer. He has sung in different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Nepali, and many others. Nigam got his first break for playback singing in the movie ‘Janam’ in 1990 which was not released yet. The song ‘achha Sila Diya tune mere pyarka’ from the movie ‘Bewafaa Sanam’ was a major hit and his talent was noticed from this song. He was trained by Indian classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. He struggled during his initial days in Mumbai as he was not getting many playback opportunities. Some of his popular songs are ‘sadness late hai’, ‘ye did Deewana’, ‘har ghadi Badal Rahi hai’, ‘tanha yee’, ‘Sooraj Hua madam, and many others.

He has also featured in films like ‘Jaani Dushman’, ‘And love in Nepal’ which did not get success and put an end to his acting career. He also gave a warm contribution to the Nepali music field. He sang many Nepali songs like ‘kali oral gardai’, ‘yo male hernia Kun mood you Purgaso,n, and much more. It seems to have a great bonding between Nepal and Sonu. Besides singing Nepali songs, his movie ‘Love in Nepal’ was also shot in different places in Nepal.

4. Shweta Tiwari

Shweta Tiwari was born on 4 October 1980 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. She married Raja Chaudhary in 1998. They had a daughter together. He used to drink a lot so Shweta could not take his behavior so they got divorced in 2007. After that, after dating actor Abhinav Kholi for 3 years she married him in 2013. She was blessed with a baby boy on 27 November 2016. She worked in a famous Television Serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She works as an Actress, television presenter, and model. She is active in her working field since 1999 to present.

Besides Indian movies and teleserials, she also worked in Marathi movies, Urdu movies, Punjabi movies, Nepali movies, and so on. She won several awards in the Indian Film Industry and was also nominated for lots of award functions. She worked in the Nepali movie Trinetra in 2016 with Nikhil Upreti, Mithila Sharma, Narayan Prasad, Pappu, Pratima Bista, Ramesh Budhathoki, Usha Poudel, etc. This was the first Nepali movie she worked on. In this movie, she worked as a leading Actress. This movie was made on the story of the director Manoj Narayan. She definitely must have enjoyed working in Nepali Movie.  

5. Mala Sinha:

Born into a family of Nepali origin the former actress, Mala Sinha was born and brought up in Calcutta. Her father was a Nepali citizen. Besides actress, she was also known for her beauty. Mala Sinha started her career as a child artist in the Bengali film, Jai Vaishno Devi. Though her first featured Hindi film was ‘Rangeen Raatein’, ‘Badshah’ became her first Hindi movie. Very few people know that she was a singer, but she didn’t do any playback singing. Her other Hindi films include Kabita,  Dhuli, Jog Big, Roshanara, Radha Ka Sangam, and much more.

She acted in a famous Nepali movie called “Maitighar”. Later she got married to a Nepali actor and businessman C.P. Lohani. They both were in love with each other and had a love marriage.

6. Harmeet Singh Mamik

Mamik Singh was born on 9 May 1963 in Mumbai, India. He is an Indian actor. He also works on television. He is actively working in this field since 1992 to present. His other name is Vikraal. He is best known for his movie released in 1992 named Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar as Aamir Khan’s elder brother and Sssshhhhh….koi hai released in 2002. He also worked in other three movies named Aar Ya Paar, Dil Ke Jharkoon Mein, and Kya Kehna. Among these Kya Kehna was a Hit. He became popular in Film Industry but he did not get any chance in movies for five years so he ended his Bollywood career and started to appear in the television hit Serials in Star Plus named Saahil and Maal Hai To Taal Hai and Woh. He was seen in the horror film Mallika doing a negative role.
