1. Pharmacy and Pharmacist:
Pharmacy  is  the  branch  of science that studies and practices about the medicine. Pharmacists are the person who studies about medicine and its uses. They are professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of medical sciences focusing on safe and effective    uses of the drug. The pharmacist gives suggestion about the safe way to take medicine and their effectiveness. They only  provide medicines which are prescribed by the doctors. In Nepal, the study of pharmacy is divided into diploma in pharmacy and bachelor in pharmacy. For diploma in pharmacy, the student should have passed minimum SLC in the second division. They should pass the entrance exam for the study. Three years course is designated for this level. CTEVT and its affiliated collages enroll student every year.

For study in bachelor level, students must have passed diploma in pharmacy or intermediate level or PCL level or 10+2(HSEB) level with science faculty are eligible. Four years course is designated for this level. TU, Pokhara University, Purbaanchal University, Kathmandu University and their affiliated collages enroll student every year.
Persons other than the pharmacist are not allowed to sale or distribute the medicine. The pharmacist gives the information about the procedure of manufacturing of medicine and suggestion to safe way to use it. Thus, pharmacy and pharmacist have a vital role in medicine science.

2. Nursing and Nurse
The profession of caring the patients with the collaborative help of doctors at hospital or health centers is known as nursing. In other words, nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurses are the professionals who develop a plan of care, working collaboratively with physicians, therapists, the patient, the patient’s family and ‘other team members that focus on treating illness to improve a quality of life. They generally help patient’s health care and giving them medicine at right time and dose. For this, the nurse should have obtained the required qualification and have practiced on it.

The education for nursing can be obtained in two ways. To become staff nurse one should pass SLC and complete three years course of nursing. After few year experience in nursing, staff nurse become eligible for bachelor in nursing (B.N.) having three years course of study. After BN, they are eligible for masters in nursing (M.N.). For B.SC nursing one should pass intermediate or PCL, 10+2 (HSEB) level from science faculty with biology group.
