WHO WAS THE FIRST WOMAN TO CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST FROM INDIA

Some people takes this life as the things of entertainment and some things that life is for creating the history. The thought depends upon the person action. The name from India that is Bachendri pal who successfully climbed the mount, Everest. Bachendri Pal belonged to a family of very moderate means. The India government has rewarded with many governmental national prizes. The person makes the country great not the government. The woman that made the India recognized also in the field of climbing the mount Everest saying that our Indian girls are also not less than other girls.
She was one of the seven children of his mother named HANSA DEVI and father named SHREE KISHAN SINGH PAL. The seven brother and sister in her family have faced many difficulties in their life. She was born on 24 may 1954 in the Himalaya village which lies in the Uttarkashi, district Garhwal, village named Naukri. Finally thinking the great goal to achieve came in visuality. As she has completed M.A. and B.ED. from D.A.V. post-graduate college of Dehradun. She was born only five days before the first anniversary of the original ascension of Mount Everest by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary. She got her first taste of mountaineering thrill at the age of 12, when she along with her friends, scaled a 13,123 ft (3,999.9 m) high peak during a school picnic. She used to keep interest to mountaineering and have done indifferent mountains. she was sent to college for higher studies and became the first girl. She were very good in studying but mostly interested in mountaineering, so she achieved the first position in 1982, during her course at NIM.
Mt. Gangotri 21,900 ft (6,675.1 m) and Mt. Rudragaria 19,091 ft (5,818.9 m) had been also climbed by her. she got employment as an instructor at the National Adventure Foundation (NAF), which had set up an adventure school for training women to learn mountaineering. The lady who has kept the Indian proudly has been respected by many organization and in many programs.
The “First Indian Women Trans-Himalayan Expedition – 1997”, which was an effort by 8 women, who completed the trekking journey from the eastern part of the Himalayas from Arunachal Pradesh to the western part of the Himalayas at Siachen Glacier reaching Indira Col – the northernmost tip of India at the altitude of 20,100 ft (6,126.5 m), covering more than 4500 km in ‘225’ days by crossing more than 40 high Mountain passes.
